1. What we collect
Account details: name, email and phone number. Verification details: your ID or passport document and your face check result. Activity: listings, orders, payments status and messages with Salka support. Technical data needed to run the site.
2. Why we collect it
To verify that buyers and sellers are real people, to run orders and hold payments safely, to prevent fraud, to resolve disputes, to contact you about your orders and to follow the law.
3. Who sees it
Salka staff see what they need to run orders and support. Buyers and sellers see only the basics of each other, such as a first name and a verified badge, and never your phone number or documents. We share data only with companies that help us run Salka, such as hosting, payment and identity-verification providers, and with authorities when the law requires it. We do not sell your data.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open and for as long as the law or a dispute requires afterwards. Identity documents are kept only as long as needed for verification and legal duties.
Your ID or passport photo, your face check, your name and your phone number are saved only for fraud prevention: to stop people who were banned from coming back, and to report confirmed fraud to the Egyptian authorities. We do not use them for marketing and we do not show them to other users. Staff may open them only for a confirmed fraud case, and each time they are opened it is logged.
5. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, subject to our legal duties, including under Egypt's personal data protection law. To ask, use the help chat in the bottom corner of the site.
6. Security
We protect data with access controls and encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password private and tell us right away if you suspect misuse.
7. Fraud prevention and reporting to the authorities
By creating an account you confirm that you understand and accept that Salka saves your identity details (ID or passport photo, face check, name and phone number) only for future fraud prevention, and that if your account is confirmed as fraud, these details can be handed to the Egyptian authorities. A banned person is also blocked from creating a new account with the same ID number or phone number.
